Best for Metering

All good water softeners meter the water.

But nothing meters better than the Harveys Minimax softener.

The metering of the Minimax is so specific it even measures a slow dripping tap which means that the softener can never be confused about how much capacity it has remaining, making it virtually impossible to get a blend of hard and soft water - your water will feel incredibly soft.

If you have had a softener previously, you are in for quite a treat - you will notice a real difference in how much softener the water feels.

Other American, European and Chinese water softeners are fitted with paddle meters, which are tiny in comparison, roughly the size of a 20p coin, and look something like an aeroplane propeller.

This older style of meter inherently cannot measure low flow rates, which means that trickle flow occurs, creating a blend of soft and hard water.

This often results in cosmetic staining - droplets of hard water being left on shower screens and sanitary wear.

Harvey shows off the performance of his meter in measuring a drip. The most accurate meter possible is at the heart of the Harvey Water Softener valve. It measures accurately from the tiniest flow rate right up to high flow rates exceeding 60 litres a minute.
